We are seeking a Director of Partnership Sales to be responsible for driving strategic growth by acquiring, developing, and expanding high‑value partner relationships. Spring EQ's growth is highly dependent on securing new partnerships through mortgage portfolios, other lenders, and trusted brands to offer Spring EQ products while helping partners retain and attract customers. This role will lead the strategy and execution behind bringing new enterprise-level partners into the ecosystem while re-engaging legacy partnerships to unlock renewed revenue opportunities. A critical aspect of this role includes defining scalable outreach strategies, building a robust pipeline of targeted prospects, and ensuring CRM accuracy and forecasting discipline across the team.

Responsibilities

The Director of Partnership Sales is responsible for new merchant acquisition. This role is focused on generating new business opportunities by identifying and qualifying leads, logging customer information, and working to meet sales quotas. Key duties include building a pipeline or prospects, maintaining a database, scheduling and following up on training appointments, and collaborating with the sales team. Ultimately, the person in this role will be considered successful if they can enroll high-value clients who want to grow their business through our partnership.

  • Lead strategic outbound engagement efforts by overseeing targeted outreach to new prospective partners and “win‑back” organizations, ensuring high‑value conversations that drive reactivation and qualify opportunities for the Partnership Sales team.
  • Partner closely with Account Executives and Sales Leadership to ensure meetings are successfully executed, pipeline movement is tracked, and outcomes are documented for forecasting and strategic planning.
  • Develop and refine Ideal Partner Profiles (IPPs) and leverage market data to identify organizations that align with Spring EQ’s offerings.
  • Drive multi‑channel prospecting strategies, including executive‑level outreach, targeted campaigns, referral ecosystem engagement, outbound calling, email sequencing, and industry‑focused social selling.
  • Cultivate strong partner relationships by establishing trust early, practicing active listening, aligning Spring EQ solutions to partner business models, and articulating the value of Spring EQ’s flexible home‑equity products.
  • Monitor industry trends and competitor movements within the mortgage and home‑equity lending space to inform partnership strategy, market positioning, and value‑based messaging.
  • Own partnership acquisition performance, consistently meeting or exceeding monthly and quarterly goals related to qualified meetings, partner enrollments, and revenue‑generating partnership activations.
  • Lead ongoing enablement, participating in advanced product, compliance, and market training to ensure accurate representation of Spring EQ’s offerings.
  • Conduct coaching and review sessions with internal stakeholders and team members to evaluate outreach effectiveness, refine messaging, strengthen skill development, and enhance overall partnership‑development performance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 6+ years of proven leadership experience in developing and executing partnership or channel‑sales strategies within the mortgage, financial services, or fintech industries.
  • Demonstrated success building and scaling revenue‑generating partner ecosystems, including acquisition, re‑engagement, and long‑term relationship management of high‑value organizations.
  • Expertise in market analysis and partner segmentation, with the ability to define and evolve Ideal Partner Profiles (IPPs) based on business performance, industry trends, and competitive insights.
  • Strong executive‑level communication and negotiation skills, with a track record of influencing C‑suite and senior‑level stakeholders and securing complex partnership agreements.
  • Advanced proficiency in multi‑channel outreach strategies, including the ability to design high‑impact outbound programs leveraging calling, email, social engagement, and industry networking.
  • Operational excellence in CRM and pipeline management, ensuring data accuracy, forecasting discipline, and actionable insights that guide strategic decisions.
  • Ability to translate market conditions and partner needs into value‑driven messaging and tailored solutions that highlight Spring EQ’s home‑equity product strengths.
  • Proven ability to exceed revenue, activation, and acquisition targets, with strong analytical skills to measure performance and optimize partnership funnels.
  • Experience leading, coaching, and developing sales teams, including running performance review sessions, call coaching, and skill‑development programs.
  • Commitment to continuous learning, maintaining deep knowledge of lending products, compliance requirements, and evolving second‑lien/home‑equity financing trends.
  • Cross‑functional collaboration expertise, partnering effectively with Product, Marketing, Finance, Compliance, and Operations to deliver seamless partner onboarding and engagement.
  • Strategic problem‑solving mindset, capable of identifying barriers to partner conversion, designing scalable solutions, and driving operational improvements across the partnership lifecycle.
