The Sales Development Training Specialist is responsible for designing, developing, and delivering comprehensive training programs for business-to-business sales employees and sales leaders. The role focuses on educating and strategically supporting sales professionals in Spring EQ’s products and processes, enabling them to contribute to the company's overall success.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a trusted training resource for sales employees and leadership.
  • Develop and implement targeted sales training programs that focus on key areas such as mortgage product knowledge, lead generation, sales techniques, customer relationship management, and closing strategies.
  • Create and maintain training materials such as presentations, job aids, e-learning modules, and videos to support ongoing education for Spring EQ employees and business partners.
  • Support new hire onboarding and existing employee training needs.
  • Lead dynamic and accurate training sessions for sales teams, using a variety of delivery methods, including in-person workshops, virtual training, webinars, role-playing exercises, and e-learning modules.
  • Customize training materials based on the audience’s experience level and learning preferences to maximize engagement and effectiveness.
  • Support change management and new initiative training needs for the sales team, including knowledge, skills, abilities, and behavior adoption.
  • Assess the effectiveness of training programs through feedback, knowledge assessments, sales metrics, and overall team performance.
  • Collaborate and provide feedback to sales management on sales team needs and any performance gaps to enhance performance and align programs with business objectives and goals.
  • Work collaboratively as part of the Learning and Development team to support enterprise-wide needs, projects, and share information proactively.

Qualifications

  • In-depth knowledge of the mortgage industry.
  • Experience in designing and delivering training materials and programs.
  • Strong presentation skills and the ability to explain complex concepts.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, with the ability to engage and motivate trainees.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple training initiatives simultaneously.
  • Ability to assess and adapt training programs to meet the needs of various learning styles.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to address questions and challenges during training sessions.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple training initiatives

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Education, or a related field preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in the mortgage industry.
  • Experience with training software and Learning Management Systems (LMS) is a plus.
  • Certification in training, instructional design, or a related field is a plus.

Physical & Mental Abilities Requirements:

Physical Abilities

  • Office-based role, with extended periods of sitting and working on a computer.
  • Ability to lead in-person and virtual training sessions, requiring good communication and presentation skills.
  • Occasional travel may be required to deliver on-site training at various locations.

 

Mental Abilities:

  • Ability to assess training needs and adapt training content to fit specific employee or team requirements.
  • Strong critical thinking skills to develop effective training strategies and materials.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and handle training sessions for different employee groups simultaneously.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to engage with employees and facilitate a positive learning environment.
