Spring EQ is seeking a Senior Compliance Specialist to join our growing team. This position will report to the Director of Compliance and will play a vital role in supporting our Retail, Wholesale Broker, and Correspondent business channels. The Compliance Document Specialist supports a variety of functions within the Compliance Department with emphasis on change management, including systems integration and compliance regression testing, and loan document oversight.

Responsibilities

  • Support all business channel loan disclosure and documentation needs, including creation of custom documents as necessary
  • Manage relationship between Spring EQ and its document vendors
  • Serve as primary Compliance Department liaison with both internal software developers and IT vendors
  • Perform systems testing on all technology changes, updates and software releases prior to implementation, and perform regression testing as needed to ensure compliance standards are satisfied, identifying any compliance gaps or related malfunctions
  • Monitor and identify disclosures and compliance-related issues and provide feedback to management and technology teams to improve operational efficiency
  • Oversee the creation and testing of loan document packages for new products and new jurisdictions
  • Understand and document interaction between loan origination systems and document vendor platform
  • Document change management, including development of centralized tracking system for document changes
  • All other tasks deemed necessary by management as determined by business needs

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree Commensurate work experience considered
  • Minimum 8 years mortgage compliance experience or combined experience in mortgage operations and compliance
  • Thorough understanding of the mortgage loan manufacturing process
  • Deep knowledge of mortgage lending regulations and industry standards, including those governing home equity loans, HELOCs, non-QM loans and business purpose loans
  • Ability to quickly master loan origination system functionality and understand interactions with compliance software, disclosures and document packages
  • Excellent analytical, organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
