A Spring EQ Wholesale Account Manager is the pipeline and communication hub of the Non QM channel to which they are assigned. Working closely with the operations, underwriting, and sales team while servicing the clients and driving pipeline are a main function of this role. Account managers are expected to have both great written and verbal communication skills, along with substantial working knowledge of the overall Non QM mortgage industry, Spring EQ specific guidelines, procedures, and policies. 

Responsibilities

  • Manage a pipeline of loans, ensuring timely movement from initial approval through funding while providing exceptional service to clients.
  • Review conditions for completeness and accuracy and communicate with all relevant parties to obtain outstanding conditions.
  • Effectively resolve issues to prevent delays in the loan process.
  • Review all documentation provided by the broker for sufficiency to meet underwriting guidelines and loan product requirements (i.e., entity documents, credit reports, letters of explanation, etc.).
  • Work closely with underwriters to understand the conditions and explain to the broker. Anticipate underwriter conditions to the extent possible.
  • Manage multiple loan files to ensure each loan closes promptly.
  • Work as a liaison between departments to help drive files to closing.
  • Ensuring issues escalated in from clients or AEs to reach resolution.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of Non QM account/relationship management.
  • Must have recent experience with Non QM loans including Bank Statement and/or DSCR.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to assess vendor performance, operational efficiency, and compliance adherence.
  • Proven experience in managing vendor relationships and service-level agreements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with internal teams and external partners at all levels.
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to resolve issues in a timely and effective manner.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Blue Sage operating system.

 

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years of non-QM account/relationship management. 
  • Minimum high school degree required, associates or bachelors degree preferred.

• Ability to sit and work at a desk for extended periods, using a computer and office equipment.
• Frequent use of office tools such as telephones, computers, and filing systems to communicate and document processes.
• Occasional travel to meet with third-party vendors or attend industry conferences.
• Ability to occasionally lift and move office materials or supplies up to 10 lbs.

• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex operational issues and propose effective solutions.
• High attention to detail and accuracy, especially when managing third-party contracts, performance reports, and compliance documentation.

• Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
• Excellent communication skills, including the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to adapt to changing environments and continuously seek process improvements.
• Strong customer service orientation with a focus on resolving issues and maintaining positive relationships with vendors and internal teams.
