Spring EQ is seeking a Sr. Business Intelligence Analyst to join our rapidly growing team. This position will be an active member of the Business Intelligence and Analytics team and will report directly to the Vice President, Business Intelligence and Analytics. This position will play a key role in the enhancement of our analytics.  This critical role requires a passionate and detail-oriented individual with experience in the FinTech industry

Responsibilities

Industry Knowledge and Experience:

  • Good understanding of mortgage lending processes, including customer relationship management, loan origination, underwriting and servicing.
  • Experience in interpreting trends and their impact on mortgage lending practices and strategies.
  • Experience with pull through and turn time analysis, excellent at interpreting these key ratios and their effect on the business.
  • Proven ability to work independently and pull together the data needed to provide new analytic insights to managers and executives.

Technical Skills

  • Skilled in business intelligence tools and software, such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar.
  • Creates reports, visualizations, dashboards, and metrics that provide business insight and aid business decision-making.
  • Strong SQL skillset to extract data from the data warehouse and to build new data sources when necessary.
  • Uses querying languages like SQL, scripting languages like R or Python, and other tools like Tableau or Excel to produce reports and perform meaningful quantitative or qualitative analyses addressing impactful business issues or questions.
  • Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, SAS or R for data analysis.

Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills

  • Strong ability to analyze complicated data, identify trends, and use insights to solve business problems.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Combine reports with subject-matter expertise to deliver coherent, insightful takeaways and advice.
  • Collaborate with project stakeholders to better understand valuable objectives and KPIs and to design relevant reports and dashboards.

Qualifications

  • Requires a bachelor's degree.
  • Requires 4 to 7 years of related experience.
  • Working knowledge of Mortgage Systems required.
  • Experience creating decks and presentations.
