Spring EQ is seeking a Mortgage Operations Trainer to play a critical role in the Operations department and Learning and Development Team (L&D) by delivering training and developing Operations team members. The Mortgage Operations Trainer role requires a passionate, ambitious individual who works well under deadlines. A successful candidate will live Spring EQ's customer-centric and never-stop-improving mission.

Responsibilities

The Mortgage Operations Trainer will assist in implementing and upholding an engaging and comprehensive training program for all Operations team members at Spring EQ. This position is required to work a hybrid schedule, with 3 days in the office.

  • Develop and facilitate on-the-job training for multiple topics and areas of need within the business.
  • Coordinate, schedule, and deliver New Hire Training.
  • The ability to facilitate an engaging and impactful training both delivered virtually, via Microsoft Teams or Zoom, and in-person.
  • Partner with your L&D leaders, Senior Leadership, and subject-matter experts to create training methods and materials.
  • Partner with Management to ensure processes are followed and updated as needed.
  • Improve learning effectiveness by developing new approaches and sharing best practices.
  • Conduct scheduled enablement training to improve KPIs in the business.
  • Partner with the business to identify any gaps in process or quality and address them through thoughtful approaches of training, documentation, communication, etc.
  • Prepare/update training materials such as process guides, job aids, module summaries, videos, etc.
  • Align training goals with overall corporate and departmental objectives.
  • Follow change management procedures for updating training manuals to ensure appropriate distribution of materials and consistent communication of changes.
  • Monitor trainee attendance and participation using tests/ assessments to measure trainees’ comprehension of training material.
  • Meet deadlines and quality standards.
  • Effectively manage multiple demands and competing priorities
  • Develop effective professional partnerships with all colleagues.
  • Work with multiple channels and other business areas (IT, Marketing, Sales) when there are new releases or updates to a process to create and implement a training program and training documents.

Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree in business, education, or a related field OR 5+ years of mortgage operations experience is required.
  • Mastery of mortgage operations process and documentation is required.
  • Working knowledge and experience in Learning and Development tools/procedures is desired.
  • The ideal background includes a successful record in an mortgage operations role OR position(s) held in mortgage operations training, with experience creating content and facilitating.
  • Strong technology skills with an excitement to learn and adopt new L&D platforms and technologies.
  • Excellent public speaking and presentation skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to look at the bigger picture and how changes impact other business areas.
  • Ability to work closely within a team structure.
  • Strong working knowledge of all Microsoft Office products
  • Exceptional customer service and teamwork.
